Lyonesse Front
welcome you to the Lyonesse Guest House web site.

We are open all year round for short or long stays. We accept mid week bookings, and our cuisine can cater for both Vegetarians and Vegans.

Special Offer: Three nights for the price of two from now until 15th December, and from 3rd January until 9th February (on-line bookings only, excluding Fridays and Saturdays).

All rooms have digital freeview colour television and coffee/ tea making facilities. We have en-suite rooms, and a Wi-Fi connection to the internet is available in every room. We also have a PC connected to the internet in the Lounge which is available for guests' use.

Almost directly opposite the Lyonesse is the Falmouth Sports Club. All our guests have a complimentary membership to the Sports Club. Facilities include Tennis, Squash, a small gymnasium and a licensed bar. Please note that though membership is complimentary, court fees still apply.

Our flexible approach means that the Lyonesse is ideal not only for holiday makers and tourists but also for business people working in the area or prospective students and their families.

We are based in the very heart of Cornwall in the port of Falmouth - host to the 2008 Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta - within easy reach of a variety of beaches and places of interest. There are many excellent transport links to Falmouth.

The Lyonesse Guest House has been established for over thirty years. It comprises six guest bedrooms, with a choice of single, double and family rooms, and has an esteemed reputation in the local area.

We aim to make the Lyonesse Guest House as environmentally friendly as possible, and we endeavour to use recycled materials and recycle our rubbish.

We strongly believe in sourcing local and organic food products whenever possible, and use Fair Trade tea and coffee.

All of our business cards are printed on FSC card (Forest Stewardship Council).

In April 2009 Susie ran in the London Marathon to raise funds for SHELTER, the charity that helps the homeless. She managed to raise over £1,600 in sponsorship and donations. If you’ve ever run a marathon you will understand what a task that is and that it takes many months of preparation, blood, sweat and tears to prepare for such a ... well ... marathon event!

Susie completed the Marathon in 3 hours, 57 minutes and 46 seconds. That is quite a respectable time, and faster than celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey! Work permitting, she intends to take part in the London Marathon again in the future.
